Leading commercial furniture distributor, Seating Masters recently helped the New South Cafe with their grand opening by supplying them with American made solid wood restaurant chairs and bar stools.

The New South Cafe is an energetic Gastropub in downtown Clarksville. The restaurant serves contemporary southern cuisine with international influences featuring locally grown, seasonal foods. Appetizers include Local Sweet Corn Chowder with Grilled Focaccia and unique dishes such as chicken and waffles, fried green tomatoes, smoked fried chicken, homemade meatloaf, chicken dumplings and shrimp & grits. They also have a bakery that makes fresh bread and pastries daily as well as desserts such as cheesecake, cobblers and more.

The restaurant is owned and run by John Matagrano and his wife. John is the northern half of a marriage that makes for a nice culinary mash-up. He’s a Jersey guy married to a Clarksville gal and the twin influences rule the menu at New South. He owned the Freedom Deli which closed recently. The New South Café has more seating capacity and is in a better location. They also offer a full dinner menu.

For seating the owner went with Seating Master’s Elongated Vertical Back Chair with black frames and solid wood seats in mahogany finish. Customers have the choice of a solid wood seat or an American made padded seat made of high density foam and upholstered in vinyl or fabric. The table is popular with many restaurants and bars because it is easy to clean and the surface looks like wood. The Resin Table Tops sell for $40 and come in many different sizes. They also come in walnut, dark mahogany and cherry.
