The Truro residents took over ownership of Fletcher’s restaurant on Prince Street in February. They have been getting to know customers before making any substantial changes, but now it’s time to add their special touch to it, they said. Renovations were finished recently and include fresh paint, new flooring and “gutting” the washrooms. “It needs an update; it needs some TLC,” said owner David. The owners like the old, vintage feel. It has a comfortable dining room and they wanted it to be retro and to match the dining room with the diner.

“Fletcher’s has been around for about 50 years or so and we have already had a customer bring in some great photos from the late 1960s and early 1970s,” added David in a news release. “It needs an update; it needs some TLC,” said David. In addition, the owners are creating a memory wall and are looking for old vintage photographs of the restaurant through its history, both inside and out.
