The pub serves English foods and has a fully stocked white bar. The white bar is a tribute to the rich canoeing heritage of the Kawarthas. Hand built by family owners Nick and Hugh, it utilizes the same woods used in canoe construction. The bar front features 5 inch cedar and a 1 1/2 inch cherry strip in homage to the Lakefield Canoe Company, complete with cedar ‘ribs’ running vertically. The bar top is made from cherry, and has an ash ‘gunnel rail’ to complete the look.

A family owned business, Jake shares that the family moved here from England in 2007 after visiting the region for many years on holiday and always loving the time that they spent here. The pub will feature live music 2 or 3 nights a week and classic English food. The bar has 13 different types of craft beer on tap. The pub will also serve bottled beer, wines and cocktails.

Patrons can expect to see authentic English style fare like Yorkshire Pudding, Toad-in-the-hole, Bangers and Mash, Beer Battered Fish and Chips and much more.
